When; June 14th, 2019
What: Vietnam Veteran and Shepherdstown, WV resident Kimo Williams exhibits his images of the American flag as a societal form of self expression.
There are many ways to show an appreciation for the flag of the United States of America.
Some may call into question "respectability" or "blasphemy" in how individuals show their appreciation. While others may find a true connection to "freedom of expression" in the way they might show their appreciation.
Regardless of the motives, the traditions associated with the American flag is melded into the fabric of our shared consciousness of being Americans. This exhibit represents the many different ways I have observed the display of the Stars and Stripes.
The exhibit is accompanied by a recording of the National Anthem as interpreted by Army Veteran Carol Williams.
Where: 133 West German Street Suite 100 Shepherdstown WV 25443
Exhibit runs until August 25th. Gallery Hours are Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays 11am to 5pm.
