When: July 1st, 2019
What: Composer, Guitarist, Photographer, Vietnam Veteran and Shepherdstown, WV resident Kimo Williams exhibits photographs taken throughout the US and around the world during his excursions with music performance.
Dating back to 1970 in Vietnam, to 2009 in Afghanistan to 2013 in Topeka Kansas, Kimo has formed and produced musical groups to to perform in support of social causes (USO shows, concerts in hospital wards of wounded service members, Vietnam Special Service shows, concert for orphan children afflicted with symptoms relating to Agent Orange , Martin Luther King Remembrance Concert, concert for incarcerated Veterans, performance for children of military service members who died during the Iraq/Afghanistan War, etc., ).
While touring with his bands or supporting the performance of his symphonies, he would find time to also explore the local environments and capture visual images that most reflected his engagement with that environment.
These exhibit of photographs represents Kimo's excursions away from the performing stage.
